BPBI Amatrice avant le tremblement de terre

The August 24 earthquake caused dramatic damage in Amatrice, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy . Many lives where lost, as well as the  disappearance of the survivors homes and neighborhood. More than 300 houses were destroyed by the tremors. In addition to emergency response and support for victims , the Municipality of Amatrice in association with I Borghi Piu Belli d’Italia ” The Most Beautiful Villages of Italy “, now seeks assistance for the rehabilitation of the village.

The Federation of ” The Most Beautiful Villages of the Earth” joins this apeal.  The bank account ” Solidarité Amatrice ” has been opened to collect your donations. The details of this account are at the bootom of this page. Your help will be fully devoted to the reconstruction of a public building or restoring an element of village heritage. We thank you in advance for your participation.

Still in place , the sign testifies to Amatrice belonging to the Borghi più Belli d’Italia. Despite the tragic fate of the village, we are driven by the hope of rebirth . We received many expressions of solidarity . We welcome the initiatives taken and we thank you for your generosity.
